January 21, 1996...The Bluebird Cafe's Writers Night Showcase (I had to audition for this one and it marked the first time I was ever "invited" to play...in front of adults anyway.)

March 30, 1996...Debut as part of The Spectacles with Randy Spivey, Paul Spivey, and Scotty-Scott Allen in Gadsden, AL at the Downtown Recreation Center

April 9, 1996...The Spectacles perform as part of Lollaparama, a David Lipscomb University benefit for Inner City Ministries in Nashville,TN

July 5, 1996-August 9, 1996...In Houston,TX for the summer, I performed on the sidewalk of the local Half-Price Books and accompanying coffeeshop every Friday for tips and coffee

September 1, 1996...My return to the Bluebird Cafe for "Pix Night." Scotty-scott Allen joined me onstage for "Surgery on Our Love"

September 28, 1996...The Spectacles perform at Lucy's Record Shop (Nashville)

October 12, 1996...Opening for Underdog. at the Common Ground coffeehouse

October 27, 1996...Live recording session on the David Lipscomb University campus for the debut CD, Chuck Jones "In Front of People"

December 3, 1996...Guido's Pizza hosts the CD release party
