CD Release Fallout

Greetings from the Southeast District Sales Headquarters of Southpaw Jones Industries.  I thought I'd send a quick "shout out" to everyone and update you on a few things:

First of all, thanks to all of you who showed up for the release party Friday, especially if you purchased a CD.  Together, you formed a very supportive, exciting, and just plain big crowd.  I must thank Sam & Zoe's for once again
housing one of my best shows.

If you snagged a CD from Nathan, Katie, or Jessica (thanks, guys), I certainly hope you're enjoying it.  I seem to be getting pretty positive reactions so far.  Eventually, I'd like to put up a page on my web site with nothing but reviews or more accurately testimonials from listeners out there.  That way, people from Palo Alto to Poland don't have to just take my word for it, "it" being the fact that The Southpaw Jones Starter Kit is indeed an enjoyable listening experience.

If you didn't get a CD, well, there will be other opportunities.  For starters, I'm performing as part of Steve Key's writer's night this Thursday, December 9 at the Radio Café in east Nashville.  The show starts at 8 p.m., I'll play three songs, CDs will be available, and I'll be followed by Ashley Davis, Peter Mayer, Eric Schwartz, and Mark Aaron James.  I'm sure they're very talented.

Also, I'm working to put together a "spontaneous" show in Arena Theater on the campus of David Lipscomb University this Friday, December 10.  It is their "dead day" before finals begin, and I'm looking forward to renewing my old college habit of causing people to turn their back on studies in favor of fun.  I'll look to start the show at 8 p.m., and I'll probably play an hour or so before retiring at a table to sign autographs for freshman girls.  If you are a part of the Lipscomb community, look for flyers to pop up real soon.

Both of the above shows are FREE, FREE, FREE, and will probably be my last professional appearances in Nashville THIS MILLENNIUM, so check them out.  I should also announce that the Starter Kit is now available at the Great Escape superstore on Broadway.  I believe they are selling it for $11.99, so if you want a copy, but you won't see me or my shows or my mail order information anytime soon, the fine folks at my former place of employment would be glad to help you.

I have given all I have to give.  Remember to check http://www.southpawjones.com if you haven't seen it yet.  Someday soon, I'll have more than just a preview for the CD.  I promise.  Happy Holidays to all.  Stay tuned for further
adventures next year, when I will remain...

Left handed, left wing-ed, and left in the cold with no one to hold,
Chuck "Southpaw" Jones
