Enduring a college education while cultivating a budding career as a singer-songwriter may be tough, but Chuck Jones is accustomed to problem solving. He has learned to play left-handed guitar in a right-handed world (namely by turning it upside down). He has also managed to independently release his debut compact disc during a semester of seventeen hours. However, no prior test has been more difficult for the nineteen-year-old than maintaining originality in the flooded market that is Nashville, Tennessee, where he now attends class at David Lipscomb University.

The thirteen original folk/country/rock compositions on the mostly live, still fresh release "In Front of People" show the surprisingly funny, occasionally despairing, and always entertaining results of Chuck Jones's past two years of work. His live performances currently revolve around the promotion of the CD, while spotlighting new songs as well. He also enjoys covering songs from influences including Todd Snider, Steve Earle, They Might Be Giants, Buddy Holly, and Bruce Springsteen.

Chuck Jones's shows, like his songs, are quite unique. Often sacrificing professionalism for honesty, he maintains an excellently light-hearted rapport with each audience. He manages to conjure up a variety of moods and themes, his only tools being an acoustic guitar and a few harmonicas. Having played everywhere from coffee shops to pizza parlors, tourist-filled 2nd Avenue storefronts to the illustrious Bluebird Cafe, Jones knows how to handle numerous performance situations.
