That's right, I finally did it. I took real, functional steps in the direction of becoming a semiprofessional performing artist. Along the way, I changed my name from Chuck to Southpaw, got a haircut, had some work done on my uncle's old Yamaha acoustic, reduced my hourage at work, and oh yeah, recorded a full studio album. Seriously! It's called The Southpaw Jones Starter Kit, and I've got to tell you, I've never been more proud of anything. I'm excited about sharing these recordings with everyone, and I don't get excited too often.

I decided Labor Day weekend that I wanted to have some "merch" out by Christmas. After hurriedly researching and looking at costs, I settled on selling each CD for $10. Of course, charging $10 and making something worth $10 are two separate accomplishments, and I wanted to do both. Well, now that I have the finished product in my hands, I think I'm going to ask for $8.57.

Kidding. Honestly, I'm a frugal man, and if I weren't me, I'd shell out the dime spot. Not that everyone should, necessarily. I'm just trying to make the point that I'm satisfied with the project, that's all. Jeez, get off my back!
