The Southpaw Jones Starter Kit Preview

So what's on the thing? Well, twelve plus songs from the past four plus years of my songwriting life, that's what. Five tracks, including a variation of "Atheist Girlfriend," have been re-recorded and reinvisioned since their embryonic appearances on In Front of People. The others, with the exception of "Girl From the Country," which is pretty dang new, have been floating around unrecorded in my live sets for quite a while. All together, the Starter Kit contains over an hour of fleshed-out songs.

Releasing them is like sending the kids off to college. I can vaguely, but lovingly remember the day they were born. I've watched them mature, changing along with them. Now they're all grown and ready to make their way in a world of car stereos, CD changers, and headphones. All I can do is sit back and watch with a smile, a tear, or a grimace, you know, depending on how they do.

Man, I'm twisted. Just buy the CD. Buy three or four. Here's how to order, and remember, they make excellent Xmas presents. Or Y2K presents. Or random Tuesday in February presents.

Now I'm ready to order---Back to Part Two---Part One
